There are a few main things you need to know about MyGeography.
As a child, I always loved looking at maps and learning about geography. Countries, geographic boundaries, cultures, food, languages, national parks, etc. has always held my fascination.
It wasn’t until college that I learned that geography was not only a true field of study, but in high demand with several career paths. Upon this discovery, I would soon earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in geography with a focus in GIS/Cartography.
Since 2007, I have been very fortunate to not only work in a field that I love, but to also have an impact in the world around me as the projects I have been involved with have help shaped the future of the communities I have lived in.
I originally conceived of MyGeography while living in Montana, because it is such a wonderful state and the people are amazing. Their love for adventure and the outdoors inspired me to create MyGeography due to the pride I see that they have for their geographic locations. Now that I am in Colorado, my observations have only been confirmed even more.
It is my desire to share my love of geography with others with different products than people are used to seeing. Even if you are not a fan of geography, we all have a place we love to be or to tell others we are from. I wish to help with showing that off.
